RTÉ journalist Brian O'Connell developed a piece for the Today with Claire Byrne show on online harassment. It included interviews with Linda Hayden from the Victim's Alliance and the model Holly Carpenter. Both spoke about their experiences of receiving unsolicited graphic images and messages, and Linda spoke about how victims are impacted by this. I talked about the research on why men send these kinds of messages, why people behave in ways online that they wouldn't offline, and the effects that receiving these messages can have on women.
