I spoke with Fran McNulty with RTÉ Prime Time on the surge in phone and text scams that we've seen in Ireland recently. Reports of scams have risen by 440% in the first six months of 2021 alone. I talked about how scammers use our psychology against us, taking advantage of our tiredness, distraction or cognitive biases to bypass our rational decision making.
